Total assets of insurance companies amounted to 338.6 b.kr. at the end of April. Of total assets, assets of non-life insurance companies amounted to 318.6 b.kr. and assets of life-insurance companies amounted to 20 b.kr. Domestic assets of the companies were in total 273 b.kr. and foreign assets amounted to 65.6 b.kr.

Domestic liabilities amounted to 162.6 b.kr. of which share of insurance and pension entitlements amounted to 147.3 b.kr. Foreign liabilities amounted to 413 m.kr.

Equity of insurance companies amounted to 175.6 b.kr. at the end of April and increased by 1.8 b.kr. between months.

Due to the implementation of IFRS 17 accounting standard in the settlement of insurance companies accounts, there is a break in the time series of unpaid premiums and unearned premiums in January 2023.
